Growth of leaf cutting of orange lemon (Citrus limon L. Osbeck) with red onion extract treatment
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cultivation of lemons needs to be increased due the increasing demand for lemons. This requires a large amount seedling. One alternative material cuttings lemongrass nurseries with lots supplies is leaf cuttings. The aims this study were determine effect onion extract concentration on growth and best shallot experimental research was in form treatment, which consisted 5 levels, namely control (without immersion), immersion water, 10% extract, 20% 30% extract. Leaf soaked at various concentrations 2 hours. observed variables included percentage living cuttings, roots formed, number roots, length damaged leaves, shoots formed shoots. All treatments showed 100% survival rate root formation percentage. Treatment can increase length, shoot from lemon lime 60 days after observation. results provide information that leaves used as an vegetative propagation extracts regulators.

Chemical Composition and Biological Activities of Lemon (Citrus limon) Leaf Essential Oil
Background and Objectives: Essential oils and their compounds are getting increasing interest due to their multipurpose functionals as alternatives to the artificial preservatives. The aim of this study was to extract and identify the volatile constituents of essential oil of Citrus lemon leaf and to evaluate its antioxidant and antibacterial abilities. Materials and Methods: The essential oil...
متن کاملImprovement in growth and salt resistance of lemon (Citrus limon) trees by an interstock-induced mechanism.
Interstocks can reduce toxic ion accumulations in leaves of budded citrus trees, but the mechanism is not understood. We grew sour orange (Citrus aurantium L.; SO) seedlings, budded trees of 'Salustiano' orange (Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck; SAO) on SO, 'Verna' lemon (Citrus limon L. Burm. f; VL/SO) and interstock trees (VL/SAO/SO) in pots of sand watered with nutrient solution containing 5 (contr...
متن کاملA novel repetitive DNA sequence in lemon [Citrus limon (L.) Burm.] and related species Bruna.
Repetitive DNA sequences constitute a significant component of most eukaryotic genomes, and the isolation and characterization of such sequences provide an insight into the organization of the genome of interest. Here, we report the isolation and molecular characterization of a novel repetitive DNA sequence from the genome of Citrus limon. Digestion of C. limon DNA with MboI produced a prominen...
متن کاملTranscriptome analysis of a spontaneous mutant in sweet orange [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck] during fruit development
Bud mutations often arise in citrus. The selection of mutants is one of the most important breeding channels in citrus. However, the molecular basis of bud mutation has rarely been studied. To identify differentially expressed genes in a spontaneous sweet orange [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck] bud mutation which causes lycopene accumulation, low citric acid, and high sucrose in fruit, suppression sub...
متن کاملCollection and Chemical Composition of Phloem Sap from Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck (Sweet Orange)
Through utilizing the nutrient-rich phloem sap, sap feeding insects such as psyllids, leafhoppers, and aphids can transmit many phloem-restricted pathogens. On the other hand, multiplication of phloem-limited, uncultivated bacteria such as Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) inside the phloem of citrus indicates that the sap contains all the essential nutrients needed for the pathogen grow...
